March 5, 0205Michael Svane becomes associate partner at Geelmuyden Kiese
Experienced Public Affairs profile to strengthen Geelmuyden Kiese’s advisory within mobility and transport.
Michael Svane becomes associate partner at Geelmuyden Kiese, Denmark’s largest communications agency. Michael Svane brings more than 30 years of experience from the transport sector and has, among other roles, been Industry Director for DI Transport for 14 years.
Bringing Michael Svane in as an associate partner is the first step towards adding a number of experienced advisers to Geelmuyden Kiese Denmark, who will assist clients with political and strategic advisory.
“Michael Svane has completely unique insight into transport and mobility, areas he has worked with in depth for many years. His experience will undoubtedly strengthen our ability to advise our clients even better in these areas. At the same time, there is no doubt that Michael Svane will also contribute to development within our other core areas – energy, finance and tech/telecoms,” says Rasmus Nygaard-Winther, Partner and Group Head of Public Affairs at Geelmuyden Kiese.
Less than a year ago, Geelmuyden Kiese significantly strengthened its mobility area when former minister and Conservative transport and political spokesperson Henriette Kjær joined as Public Affairs Director for mobility at Geelmuyden Kiese Denmark.
The addition of Michael Svane follows successful experience with associate partners at Geelmuyden Kiese’s Norwegian office, where there have been major benefits from bringing in associate partners.
Michael Svane currently holds a number of board positions within the transport sector, and his in-depth knowledge of Danish business and experience from the sector will now be put to use for clients at Geelmuyden Kiese Denmark.
“Geelmuyden Kiese works with a number of sectors characterised by a high level of regulation and significant political and media attention. These sectors are crucial to our society, and therefore complex landscapes to navigate. Geelmuyden Kiese already does this extremely well, and I look forward to going even deeper into the area, where I can bring my experience into play from a new perspective,” says Michael Svane.
Karne Lykkebo, Group CEO of the Geelmuyden Kiese Group in the Nordic region, is also pleased that Michael Svane is joining as an associate partner:
“As part of Geelmuyden Kiese’s ambitious strategy, we prioritise mobility, finance, energy and tech/telecoms. We are convinced that Michael Svane can bring his unique skills and experience into play for the benefit of our clients,” says Karne Lykkebo.
The associate partnership is another step in Geelmuyden Kiese Denmark’s growth strategy, which is based on an ambition to be the preferred adviser for companies at the intersection of communications, politics and business.
